Simon Mawhinney performs Feldman’s Triadic Memories

An atmospheric late night performance of one of Morton Feldman’s legendary late works, Triadic Memories.  With a duration of ninety minutes, this single-movement work is focuses on the liminal space between perception, concentration and memory.  Existing in a kind of musical twilight, Feldman’s music is consistently very slow and very quiet. In some ways minimalistic, with an important role being given to the repetition of musical units, it is music that is brimming with novelty and a drama all of its own. This promises to be an unforgettable experience.
