Son Zept

Son Zept is a Belfast-based electronic musician who’s eclectic work has led him to be compared to the likes of Aphex Twin, Oneohtrix Point Never, Skee Mask and a sonic pointillist version of Phillip Glass. Son Zept creates his wide-ranging music out of a melting pot of influences assembled from hardcore, techno, minimalism, electroacoustic, house, jungle, contemporary composition, power ambient, noise etc. then playing with deconstructing tropes and structures in those genres then reassembling them into something more personal. His music has been championed, premiered and playlisted by the likes of Fact Mag, The Quietus, DJ Mag, Mixmag and leftfield DJs Avalon Emerson and Objekt while also having his work included in multiple year-end top releases lists and features like “The Future of Irish Music”.
