Connemara Landscape (2020) is a new sound work by Christopher Steenson created for Sonorities 2022. Taking the work of Belfast-born Irish painter Paul Henry as a departure point, Steenson’s sonic landscape will explore contemporary environment and traditions of Connemara within the context of a changing climate. The work will result from Steenson’s stay with Interface in March 2022 – a residency complex for collaboration between the arts and science, which is situated in Connemara’s Inagh Valley.
