Rule Driven are a three piece art rock act made up of live drums (John Macormac), modular synths (Robin Price) and a computer controlled laser sculpture. All musical material is improvised live triggering ‘rule driven’ responses in code that the laser uses as instructions to etch into the monolith. Thunderous drum and synths create a lightning like live visual score of the unfolding performance establishing an audiovisual relationship between disjointed repetitive beats and unruly geometry.
