BIO
Ed Williams is a performer and composer based between France and Switzerland, working between early music, noise, experimental composition and trans*feminist epistemology.
They take an experimental approach to early instruments, combining 16th-century microtonal and improvisatory practices with contemporary performance technique, while developing research into queer phenomenology.
They’ve released music on Editions Wandelweiser, Zok Records, Insub. Records, and others, and play with the Insub Meta Orchestra.
They hold ABRSM Grade 8 in Harpsichord and Classical Guitar, BMus in composition from Edinburgh University and MA in Open Creation from the HSM Basel.
