Festival ’24 Open Call – Handmade Music
Handmade Music at Accidental Theatre returns to Sonorities in April 2024 with a special extended edition programmed entirely through this open call.

A big element of Handmade Music is about community and space for experimental and improvised music to exist…and seeing what comes out the other side. The night is a place for trying out new collaborations, and embracing the feeling of not knowing what will happen next. Sets are short (20min or less), there is time to chat and space to move around the building.
To apply, please submit a proposal (in PDF format) by 31st August 2023 containing:
- Artist(s) name(s)
- Title and description of proposed performance, including approximate duration
- Web-links to relevant audio/video documentation
- Technical requirements, indicating what you will provide and what you expect Sonorities to provide
Please also supply a short programme note (up to 200 words), a short bio (up to 100 words), at least one promo image, and optionally a link to your artist website or other online material that could be used for promotional purposes.
Note: a limited number of bursaries (£100 for local artists, £250 for those from further afield) will be made available to all performers to help with associated costs of playing at Handmade Music. Sonorities can also provide a letter of support to assist with funding applications.
