C.A.N.V.A.S. (Olan Monk and Lugh O’Neill)

C.A.N.V.A.S. exists as an attempt to give collective agency to an increasingly dispersed community of artists. Established in 2014 as a series of performance events, C.A.N.V.A.S. has become a transnational fabric which connects individual practices and nodes of activity in contemporary music and live performance. As a community, C.A.N.V.A.S. is always expanding through new collaborations, alchemically creating lasting bonds which perforate boundaries between practices and people. This acts as resistance to the isolation implicit in the virtualisation of contact through solidarity between uprooted bards.
