Ellen Moffat’s sound installations and performances explore the sense and nonsense of sound as sonic becomings using materials and experimental techniques for sound generation. Her approach to sound proposes an aural timespace of sense, affect, and difference.
Ellen’s work includes solo, collaborative, and interdisciplinary projects, presented throughout Canada, the USA and Europe. She has degrees from the Universities of Toronto, Regina, and Concordia, and a Ph.D. in Studio from Western University, London.
A singer and sound artist in contemporary scored and experimental music, and improvisation, Helen Pridmore has performed across Canada and the USA — including Carnegie Hall — and in Europe, Mexico and Japan. Five CDs include a 2013 East Coast Music Award winner, and two recent Redshift Music releases.
Helen explores and performs concepts of aural beauty, space and silence, employing both structure and improvisation. She studied music in Canada and at the Eastman School of Music (USA).
