Bio
Joseph has a background in song writing and traditional folk singing, as well as an interest in reggae, jazz and a broad spectrum of electronic music from jungle to electroacoustic. He was creating acousmatic and electroacoustic work before knowing exactly what those terms meant.
Connections with our natural and historic surroundings are core motivations behind Joseph’s work. As is highlighting mundane experiences of our surroundings and searching for their intrinsic beauty. These principles inform Joseph’s immersive compositions, making them intricate, filled with subtleties whilst remaining expansive.
