Stokesflow is the live-coding duo of Giuseppe Torre and Jürgen Simpson. Their work explores the friction and flow between two distinct worlds: the precision of computer code and the generative logic of modular synthesis. In this concert, patterns from the ORCA sequencing environment are fed into a hybrid modular system, where they are reshaped, re-routed, and realised as sound. Torre and Simpson are based at the Digital Media and Arts Research Centre, University of Limerick.
Giuseppe (aka handsandnumbers) and Jürgen are both Associate Professor of sound and digital art practices at the University of Limerick and member of the Digital Media & Arts Research Centre @UL.
