Nadene Thériault-Copeland is a composer and improvisor interested alternative tunings.
After experiencing other artist’s experimentations on outdoor pianos, namely Julia Krolik and Owen Fernley (Decomposing Pianos) and James Bailey, Nadene created the Decomposing Piano exhibit at NAISA in December 2022 and her Weathered Piano in the forest at Warbler’s Roost in April 2024. Since then, Nadene has worked with Jesse Budel in Australia on a Weathered Piano Exchange
Nadene received her Honours B.A. in Music from York University in 1991 where she studied composition with James Tenney and performance with Christina Petrowska-Quilico.
